What is Perspi-Guard® Sweat Defence?

Well it’s a unique anti-sweat and anti-odour system, containing Perspi-Guard® Odour Control Bodywash and Perspi-Guard® Maximum Strength Antiperspirant Spray. The specially formulated lightly scented body wash cleanses the skin and eliminates body odour from commonly affected problem areas, such as the feet, groin and underarms, but can be used all over the body. The specially formulated exceptionally effective high strength antiperspirant has clinically proven efficacy and only requires application once or twice a week! This is the ultimate level of protection from sweat and odour!

How does it work?

Put simply, when sweat mixes with bacteria on the skin enzymes are formed. These enzymes react and break down lipids within the sweat, which in turn release the unpleasant odours associated with sweating. Perspi-Guard® Odour Control Bodywash has been formulated with a 0.2% Triclosan content to target the root cause of odour, leaving your skin feeling clean and fresh.

Then the Perspi-Guard® Maximum Strength Antiperspirant Spray contains a dual active formulation, part of which stretches the sweat ducts, while other elements form a partial obstruction, thus preventing the more viscous sweat reaching the surface of the skin. This double action provides the ultimate level of protection from both sweat and odour.

What makes Perspi-Guard® Sweat Defence different to other products on the market?

Good question! Unlike regular body washes and antiperspirants, which often only keep moderate sweating and odour at bay for a short time, this duo set deals with the root cause of the problem.

Perspi-Guard® Odour Control Bodywash has a scientific formulation originally developed to treat problem odour, also known medically as Perspi-Guard® Maximum Strength Antiperspirant was originally created to help control the medical condition known as Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) it has a clinically proven efficacy, and only requires application 1-2 times per week to remain sweat and odour free. Despite being specially formulated for excessive sweating, the formula can be used on all normal skin types and levels of perspiration.

When should Perspi-Guard® Sweat Defence be used?

The body wash can be used daily as part of your normal routine, especially if problem odour is persistent! It can be used anytime day or night, but when using in conjunction with Perspi-Guard® Maximum Strength Antiperspirant you should use it at night before application of the antiperspirant for the ultimate level of protection from both sweat and odour.

Why must the antiperspirant be applied at night?

This is so important, so let’s explain why….the sweat glands are least active at night, when the body is naturally calming down and becoming less active.
Using the Spray at this time is essential to making the formulation work at its best, as it allows the formula to position itself just under the skin, and initiate the active ingredients before they are potentially carried away by sweating.

How do you use Perspi-Guard® Sweat Defence?

This is an easy one! For the Bodywash – the same way you would any other body wash. Apply directly to wet skin, paying particular attention to areas where odour is a problem, and areas where skin folds are present – sweat and bacteria often get trapped in such places. Lather and rinse well. For external use only, avoid contact with the eyes.

For the Antiperspirant – we’ve already established that it is essential to apply this product at night in order for the formula to work. Spray 2-3 times onto the treatment area, avoiding any contact with the eyes, and then allow to dry. Prior to application it is important that the skin area has been properly cleaned, with the Bodywash, and dried. In the morning you can wash or shower as normal. Do not use with any other antiperspirants as this may reduce effectiveness. Scented body sprays can be used to provide fragrance. Application on children (6+ years) should be performed by adults. Apply only once or twice a week to remain sweat and odour free, although in some cases more frequent application may be required.

Aqua (Water), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Cocamide DEA, Sodium Chloride, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Triclosan, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Parfum (Fragrance), Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Magnesium Nitrate, Magnesium Chloride, Triethylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Citric Acid.

Ingredients for Antiperspirant are as followed:
Ethyl Alcohol, Aqua, Aluminium Chloride, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, Glycerin, Alcloxa, Dimethicone Copolyol, Propylene Glycol, Triethyl Citrate.
